Pursuant to the launch of E-Filing Portal 2.0, technical glitches have been faced by the taxpayers. Initially, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) had extended the timelines for filing income tax returns and various audit reports due for the previous year relevant to the assessment year 2021-22, vide Circular No. 09 of 2021 dated 20 May 2021. Recently, the CBDT has again extended such timelines, vide Circular No. 17 of 2021 dated 9 September 2021.
